Brief
Create a title sequence and logo for a music documentary series investigating the stories behind famous albums. Aim to create a sequence that can be iconic through its simplicity. An uncomplicated style that works with the general culture of the music covered - Wildwood by Paul Weller, Power, Corruption & Lies by New Order and The Specials by The Specials. The design will become the graphic brand for the 'Record On' series. The typography will be used on social media and all marketing.

Solution
The lettering is inspired by the thin spines of vinyl record sleeves on a shelf. The ‘O’ slides from behind the lettering to complete the title. Black and white was suggested by the client. The overall shape of the logo is designed to fill the screen. It can work on any background or colour. I created the concept and designed the typographic logo.
